Myrthe van der Mark explores the measure of closeness in the performance at this height, but not yet in its fullness (M HKA).

For her contribution to Art’s Birthday, Van der Mark invites her sister to perform a folk dance. As the flexi disc titled Space Age Crystals plays—a recording that includes a six-minute piece reworking audio from her father’s final days into music by Joachim Badenhorst—her sister dances silently along its grooves. Wearing earphones, she performs a Polish folk dance, W Moim Ogródeczku (translated as “In My Garden”).
